The Science of the Perfect Arm Slot

Athletes use a hip or a shoulder strategy to accelerate their movements. This has to do with the question of where the spine is most flexible, having a high mobile point (shoulders and hips can rotate independently) or a low mobile point (shoulders and hips work in tandem)

If we translate this to PItchers, we can determine each individual’s most healthies, efficient, and energy-saving release point by the combination of:

  • Whether the Pitcher has a Vertical or Horizontal Organization.
  • Whether the Pitcher has a High or Low mobile point in the spine.

These individual preferences have been woven into his preferred motor skills from birth and tell us the most optimal and healthiest release point. 

This preferred arm slot of your athlete’s motor skills cannot be changed, without putting your player at severe injury risk!
