Because we can’t escape from an athlete’s individual motor preferences, which are deeply ingrained in his unconscious system.

These natural motor preferences will happen unconsciously (low or no risk for injury – Pic #1) and will help determine in which situations the body will be most efficient at producing power and conserving energy.

These movements are dictated by the nature of the individual, his life experience and interactions with his environment. 

Movements patterns taught outside these motor preferences of the athlete will lead to injuries (Pic #2)
